The living areas open onto a large upstairs deck that is an extension of the home with a gas BBQ, an Italian style glass and metal bar with 4 swivel barstools, an umbrella, a canopied swing, a large canopied glider, patio chairs and glass table. The deck is so relaxing and the vistas so beautiful that you won’t want to leave.  You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner outside in the clear mountain air. If you fill the bird feeder, you will be entertained all day by the tiny birds & creatures from the forest.

The lower deck /verandah features a new, aqua, granite Spa to relax and refresh after a vigorous forest walk. The back yard is huge, and leads into the forest and miles of hiking trails. It has two picnic tables and plenty of open space for the kids to play and explore. There is even room to pitch a tent and camp without leaving home.

The great room / kitchen area has three large double sliding glass doors which give the home a light, open feeling. The beige carpeting is plush; the décor is Western/ Native American style with a U-shaped couch and a stone fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a new microwave, coffee maker, large slot toaster, toaster oven, cappuccino maker, coffee grinder, electric can opener, blender, large pots, pans, fry pans and woks. Included in your rate are 2 clean kitchen towels, clean cleaning rags, paper towels, kitchen soap, cleaning supplies, 3+ large trash bags, bath soap, toilet paper and facial tissues.

The home has 4 ½ Bedrooms, four of which have sliding glass doors leading into the forest and hiking trails. The upstairs bedroom has a king-size Log bed, mirrored closet doors and an outside door with a glass panel. This room has a small adjoining fifth bedroom with sturdy mission style bunk-beds. This is perfect for a couple with small children. There are 2 additional fold-up beds which are good for children.  The three downstairs bedrooms all have queen-size Log beds and one of the bedrooms has a rock fireplace.

Also, upstairs is a fun Game Room with Western/ Native American décor, a tournament fooz-ball game table, a bumper pool table, T.V and DVD player. Altogether, there are 5 new television sets, 2 DVD players, and 1 VCR. There are numerous VHS movies for children, these are provided free of charge.

In the wintertime this is one of the best locations in Big Bear for skiing or snowboarding!

Located just steps from the beginner run of a major ski resort and countless steep or gentle sled runs in the forest. No parking hassles, no cramming into the ski resort shuttle, no waiting for the “sleepy-head” and the kids can come home for lunch. For being close to the ski resort the home is relatively sound-proof, so the snow guns won’t keep you awake. If you bring grandma and grandpa they can sit in the living room and watch the skiers and ski lift chairs going by through the trees.

In the summertime, if you bring your boat, we can rent you a dock or you can take a short drive to the East Boat Ramp; this is a public launch ramp and fun picnic area. There are shade trees, picnic tables and a beach.

You have the option of bringing your own towels and linens or you can use our linen service. The housekeepers will make up the beds, ready for your arrival. There is a one-time charge for the service.
